I have DVDs on installing floors on right now.

What?
I used to be dark, angry and cynical about everything. Then I found the 'net. Whoa, there are people--- who make me look like a fucking Pollyanna--- shitting on everything out there...
... and stay off my chalk giants, you whippersnappers!

Right now I'm having a coffee in my dressing gown, mentally preparing for the big Saturday morning clean (yay!), and I have Tool's Lateralus playing nice'n'loud in the lounge. The album'll prolly finish before my coffee does. The sun is shining, and all is well. In a minute I'll play Nick Cave's Dig! Lazarus! Dig! and it'll be the rockin' needed to get workin'. It'll be fairly loud to cover my singing along. (I rillyrilly can't sing to save myself, but wtf, right? :cool :)

I'll come back to play yours after the work is done, Matty. Thanks for posting links! :D

Matty...Matty...

I know I've heard that name somewhere before...
In this book it is spoken of...Spirits and Conjurations; of Gods, Spheres, Planes and many other things which may or may not exist. It is immaterial whether they exist or not. By doing certain things certain results follow. --Aleister Crowley

I've always enjoyed Big Pig and, to me, it's amazing to watch all the drummers hitting it out at the same time :)

I'm listening to things that aren't on YouTube. Right now it's 'Court and Spark' by Joni Mitchell but this is a clip of one of the songs. I doubt that you'll like either one much.

Before that was some David Grisman and Garcia stuff. I'm listening to the Pizza Tapes cd, but this is a clip of one song with nothing to look at but an album cover.

I dont mind Joni at all. Shes a bit vocally squeaky fr my liking at times but shes a cool guitarist.

as for the second, like it, i'm getting all folked up these days in any case. :)

Holy bollocking shit,

i knew nothing of them before you posted that but considering they contain my favourite guitarist of all time I'm somewhat full on bloody bemused and cant work out how i dont know them (though it seems they only did one album and then disbanded but still. I'm supposed to be a fan. I shall self flagellate with an E string immediately :) )

I knew that was Ry with his first slide lick. That tone is unmistakable. Thank you. I have a new album to buy.

and seeing as you opened the Cooder floodgates, here have another couple beauts. :)

They're great but they only did one official album together other than that they worked together on John Hiatt's 'Bring the Family' album.

From Wiki:

Little Village was formed in 1992 by Ry Cooder (guitar, vocal), John Hiatt (guitar, piano, vocal), Nick Lowe (bass, vocal) and Jim Keltner (drums). This group of musicians had previously worked together as a unit -- albeit not under the Little Village name - recording the John Hiatt solo album, Bring The Family in 1987.
